Nine lodge police report against studio known for its hard-sell tactics

PHOTO studio Naughty by Nature (NBYN) abruptly shut at the weekend, leaving thousands of its customers with unused amounts on their packages.
Thirty of them who had paid between $1,000 and $4,000 upfront for photo shoots and albums of photographs have banded together on blogs to share information on what they can do. Nine also made a police report yesterday.
A former employee who declined to be named said 6,000 customers have unfulfilled packages of up to $4,000 each.

beware, nowadays a lot of business using this package model. originally, how much. but if u buy the package, it will be a lot more cheaper. Spa, slimming centre, beauty palour, foot massage all using this method. its the pay first and it will be a lot cheaper.

The poor and stupid have to be cheated before they learn to be smarter with their money.

Alot of Sinkie business are based on the pyramid schemes and pay-first-get-later scams. Why??? There is very weak law enforcement in this area.

I 1st heard of this company in 2006.

Wifie got spam mail from them offering free glamour shots.

They took a lot then give only 2 free the rest must pay, entice you with discounted + free packages etc.

I saw their setup very suspicious. Veri MLM feel. High pressure selling tactics.

Few months later, another round of spam mail & more friend-get-friend, member-get-member nonsense.

Luckily we didn't pay $ for any package though wifie very tempted.

Now run road.....

Consumers beware .... from photoshoots to spiritual life, soon we will hear mega church leaders run road also .... LOL !

1. It's not $4000 X 6000 people = $24 Million.
6000 people have unfufilled packages of up to $4000 each, meaning that the highest amount is $4000 and could be for only 1 person. The lowest amount could be $10 for 5000 people, for all we know.

2. People who pay in advance for photo album packages and who feel that they need to spend so much on photograhs, really need to take a good hard look at themselves. Or perhaps at their photos.

3. Identify who are the individuals in charge of this outfit and go after them. There are too many of such cases these days, where the individual business owners fail to take responsibility for their actions or inactions.
