No, it isn't a hotel room - it also has a private lift, emergency buttons, fall detection sensors and a 24/7 emergency response system.

We got a look inside Singapore's first private assisted living project, Perennial Living, which targets upper middle class seniors with what's billed as "five-star" hospitality and care services.

It's a room at Singapore's first anywhere from S$8,900 (US$6,900) to S$17,000 a month to stay in one of these apartments, depending on room type and the level of required care, operator Perennial Holdings said on Thursday (Aug 28).

When you are old and about to die, it no longer matter how nice or high class your living is.
So long is a clean environment, it is good enough.

I might as well employ an Indon maid and pay her $700 (plus $60 levy) a month to cook and take care of the whole house.

many beneficiaries of gcbs and smaller landed homes don’t wish their old grannies or parents die at home. they will push their elderlies to nursing homes or homes with assisted living. some have done their math, and if selling a gcb for 69% more outweighs the cost of assisted living at $16.9k per month, they will do it. having someone die in the home will depreciate the value by at least 36.9%. some wealthy buyers don’t even want to consider if they learn of a death in the home. very cold hearted and calculative society sg has becum.
