Penang Laksa certainly give Buddhists a bad name. He is a pure breed Asura pretending to a good buddhist while 'sucking and draining $$' from Peasants to replenish the state coffers. The Moslem, Jewish and Christian Satans could learn a few trick from this Asura incarnate.
In the Jewish torah, book of Job, the jewish deity and his satan (alter ego) enagaged in a 'bo liao' debate. They were arguing whether Job is an idiot or wise bloke. Jewish deity claimed Job is an idiot while satan claimed Job as a worldly wise man. In the end, Jewish deity won the debate by bashing Job up and killing his kinsmen while a baffled satan watched as Job shrugged aside the beatings and beg for more (sado-machoistic). In hindsight, the jewish satan guessed correctly because Job realised he will be rewarded for the bet, will accordingly act blur and praise his jewish deity. Job certainly knows how not to miss the forests for the trees.
Penang Laksa is indeed a disgrace. He crowed progress in the housing crunch. Progress according to his definition is letting 20,000 odd peasants fight for 8000 pigeonholes sells for half a million peanut (99 leasehold flats) each despite a 200k construction cost. The peasants are given Pyrrhic choices and Heartless Khaw calls that progress. What is progress when you take home third wold pay but end up with first world ruinous leased property loans? What a sham!? Poor peasants take home low pay but are saddled with 22 year leased property loans must praise Khaw for his progress?! They might as well adopt Khaw's Affordable Healthcare Doctrine and send their old parents to die cheaply in Matland/Johore Bahru.
