SINGAPORE: A man who used to serve National Service at the Singapore Police Force was on Wednesday sentenced to 12 weeks' jail for his “Peeping Tom” habits and asking a woman for sex.
21-year-old Mohamed Haryfan Mohd Razali first met one of the two victims in July 2011.
They had lived in opposite blocks of flats in Pasir Ris Street 71.
Mohamed Haryfan was instantly attracted to the 19-year-old girl so he made a note of where she stayed.
Between July 2011 and May 2013, the accused made about six to eight “visits” to the unit, in the hope of seeing the girl.
In August 2011, the girl was about to go to bed when she heard a sound coming from her room window.
She spotted the silhouette of the accused and ran to find her mother, who shouted "Who's that?".
Out of anger, the accused asked if he could have sex, before running away.
For insulting the modesty of the 44-year-old woman and her daughter, the accused was given six weeks' jail on each charge.
Two other charges were taken into consideration. - CNA/ms
