they can afford a car
they can afford a house
they can afford to eat in high class restaurant
they can afford to travel
just look at the massive turn out at the travel fair
they travel widely
many retirees are cash rich
many are sitting on their golden eggs
they are among the richest people in the world

ALL THESE ARE POSSIBLE BECAUSE WE HAVE A PRAGMATIC AND PRUDENT GOVERNMENT - A PAP GOVERNMENT!!!

- Most people do not own cars nor can they afford them, there are only 540,000 private cars in singapore, some owners own more then 1. So, at the most, there are only 500,000 car owners out of a population of 3.5 million.
- People cannot afford a house. Neither do they own their flats, they are tenants.
-Most people cannot afford to eat in high class restaurant, that is why there are so many hawker centres. If they could really afford it, hawkers centres will be closed by now.
- Most people can only travel regionally, and not to Europe or America. That is beyond their budget. Goingto malaysia is not travelling.
- retirees are not cash rich, their money us tied up in their CPF which they cannot get out.
- What golden egg are you talking about?

the average account of these old folks in their banks is $100K

how many young singaporeans have such a massive savings in their banks
and not talking about their golden savings in the cpf

some of these so called poor uncles and aunties have travelled to Europe and Americas and Alaska more than four or five times!!
