Chitchat PAP's policy on Town Council is in a total mess

Why is there a need for town councils when they are dictated by the central government? The PAP said then when introducing town council was to let voters face the consequences when they vote in a bad MP, implying that Opposition MPs are they bad ones.

Well, the reality is that the PAP MPs are the ones that screw up. So, the government has to step in to save them from further self-destruction and thus the central government will dictate how the town councils will operate.

If that is the case, why the hell do we need town councils? Get rid of them and centralize estate management back to the HDB to save billions in unnecessary spending!

You still don't get the picture? This creates another layer whereby the MIW can outsource and feed more of their cronies in terms of the appointment of more town councilors(aka BBMs), award of contracts etc, all at the expense of taxpayers.
