PAP leaders are fond of making unsubstantiated and opinionated statements against Singaporeans such as:
1. Singaporeans are daft.
2. Singaporeans are lazy.
3. Singaporeans lack drive.
4. Singaporeans are spoilt.
5. Singaporeans cant take pressure.
6. Singaporeans are not creative.
7. Singaporeans lack innovation.
8. Singaporeans need foreigners to help create jobs for them.
9. Singaporeans are not entrepreneurial
10.Singaporeans are risk averse
11.Singaporeans dont want to work
I do not know where they got these ideas from. But from my experience and what I see of my peers, these statements are derogatory and unsubstantiated. I came from a relatively poor family. I studied hard. I worked hard. I took huge but calculated risk. I sometimes got knocked and burnt. But I learnt from these and picked myself up and carried on. The same goes for my friends and peers. And we detest such derogatory and general statements made by pap leaders who undermind us.
In JC and Uni I worked part-time for my pocket money and NUS tuition fees. I didnt rely on my hardworking but stressed out parents who worked hard to make ends meet. In Uni, before I could trade with my own account, I made arrangements with older friends to trade on IPO listings. If that's not hardworking, driven, entrepreneurial, risk taker, creative, who is?
The pap is foreigner-centric and thinks nothing good of its own citizens. Despite what the pap said of Singaporeans, many are hardworking and strived to make Singapore a better place and a better life for their families.
I do not know where the pap get their bad impression of Singaporeans from. It is about time Singaporeans demand that the pap justify their bad mouthng of Singaporeans.
LHL said that the political leaders and Singaporeans must work together for the future of Singapore. But such derogatory PAP statements make mickey of what LHL said. So, is he serious? If he is, he should tighten the mouths of his pap colleagues and compel them to justify and not make unsubstantiated statements against Singaporeans.
Such unsubstantiated and unnecessary comments only strengthen our resolve to vote out the pap
