Before 1990, many civil servants were on CPW pension scheme. The pap decided that CPW scheme favours the civil servants but was not good for Singapore. It then came out with the CCS scheme and the MSO schemes. Those on CPW scheme were coerced or conned to opt for the inferior CCS or MSO schemes restrospectively.
But the PAP ministers retained the CPW scheme for themselves. that's why KBW was able to trumpet that health service is cheap in SG because he paid only S$8 for his by-pass.
Why did the pap ministers choose to retain the CPW scheme for themselves as they knew it was bad for Singapore and yet conned other civil servants to opt for the inferior CCS and MSO schemes? Isnt this moral corruption? Shdnt the pap ministers lead by example and give themselves the MSO scheme?
