PAP wins 2011 GE landslide, why bother to think about transform ?

Lose one GRC is not the end of the world !

On the ground, silent majority still give mandate to PAP , so why bother ?

60% love to give big salaries to PAP mandarins ! They simply enjoying congested MRT and ERP, COE,COV, etc !

In fact, why push the responsibility to those so-called Ministers, the majority people are happy with the HDB high price !

Trying to win back the 40% will only make the 60% becoming smarter !

60% don’t attend rallies, the invincible big lot depends on mass media which is controlled by PAP, so why upset this happy PAP lot if you must stay in power!

PAP should continue its iron-fist policy , afterall, the 60% has given mandate !

The 2011 GE results show that Singapore is still a very cheap place and a comfortable place to call home, everything is still alright under PAP !

If people are not sincere in doing the right thing, but just to do it for the sake of doing it, they usually will end up stuck in the m&d .

Anyway, most Poor -PAP voters are not aware how PAP ministers are paid per month, the review whether is wayang or not, can educate these PAP voters !

Aljunied voters will be happy making the right choice when the PAP ministers salaries are reviewed !

Another thing, keep talking about history don’t make sense no more, which country does not have a past ?
But the past cannot be the compass for the future, the younger generation voters cannot be tools or digits beholden to the past, they have to live for the future.
Old People keep harping the past do not understand what is future !

Next GE in 2016 will be a real exciting one if without LKY !

Forget abt the heartlanders, how long can they live under this type of governing? The key issue here is the 60k of FT set to come in these 3 mths and the 840k more to come. They love their papa who gave them a break from the poverty they faced in their homeland, the biggest support for pap would be from this group. I stay in northeast for the past 10yrs. Now everywhere I go I see FTs. Guess what, as locals gathering in kopi show cursing govt, they gather in kopi shop to praise the govt!!! My side opps only got 40+ %. Can only hope for more balls for next GE.

The thread has raised an interesting point.
Just look at the 50 and 60 year olds around you and ask yourself how often do you see them change.
LKY is the perfect specimen-stick to his guns and threathen people even at 87 years old.

So why suddenly these ministers in their 50s/60's have a change of opinion/heart.
The unhappiness of the locals have been aired and known for years and their stock reply was "it can't be helped"?

Are they concerned about their own well being or the welfare of the locals ?.
The motive is everything.
Have there been any mention of what they will do about the main grouse of locals-the mass influx of poor quality immigrants ,many with fake papers?

Until the day when you see less Pinoys, PRC's and Indian FT's around you, do not let your guard down.
