The PAP regime will be spending some
$500,000 dollars on a street party at
Serangoon Gardens to usher in the
new year, according
toa report in Channel News Asia.
The event will be graced by
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The MP for Serangoon Gardens,
which is strangely under Aljunied

portfolio Lim Hwee Hua.
Speaking to the media after
inspecting the party’s preparations,
Mrs Lim said:
“The objective of the event is to
allow residents to count down to
the new year in their own backyard.
As with the last swing, we are
expecting to see people coming out
in their pyjamas, with their
grandparents, their grandchildren.”
One of the event’s highlights
include the residents learning
the steps to the “Papaya Dance”,

It is not known if the focus of this

feel welcomed, accepted and
happy in Singapore.
Tanjong GRC helmed by PAP

also hosting a New Year’s party
with the immigrants in mind to
facilitate their ‘integration’
