PEASANTPORE: Capitalist ride-hailing app Uber announced a fare cut for its private car service, uberX, on Wednesday (Apr 13) as protectionist PAP fat cats 'tekan' Uber drivers under the guise of levies and fees.
Banging on providing big heap of cheap services, the base fare for uberX has been revised to S$3 instead of S$3.50, lower than the cheapest flag-down fare of S$3.20 for local taxi companies. The subsequent per kilometre and per minute charges for uberX have also been revised downwards by S$0.05, to S$0.45 and S$0.20 respectively.
This defies PAP or SMRT logic that price hikes are inevitable
Capitalist Uber's announcement of its fare revision comes just a day after Familee announced new decrees for the private hire industry that will make it difficult for Uber to challenge fat cat nationalised Cab cartels e.g. Comfort.
LTA never solve the phantom cab problem but equally fast at seeking rent from Uber.
Peasant private hire cars now must registered with the Land Transport Arses (LTA). A Peasant Hire Car Driver Vocational Licencing rent-seeking framework will also be introduced to ensure that peasant Uber drivers pay hidden taxes. Regime claims Uber drivers will be subjected to a discretionary demerit point system for errant conduct such as touting but Poodles never act on cab touts since 1990s.
