Dogs of War!

For a while I couldn’t figure out why on earth the Singapore government decided to involve us in intractable Middle East conflicts. Defense Minister Ng Eng Han revealed that Singapore will be fighting alongside the US-led military coalition. Troops will be sent to provide military support against ISIS and senior officers deployed to the US Central Command and the Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters in Iraq and Syria.

Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen went to great length to distinguish the different type of troops being deployed. In effect he claimed that in Singapore we have combat troops who are cannon fodder and placed in direct line of fire and senior officers who are non-combat troops who are never at risk even of getting injured let alone killed in action. This is not to say during medal presentation ceremony for heroic action during combat there will be any distinction between cannon fodder and those holding canon folders.

One of the greatest ironies must be Ng’s pronouncement that by joining the fight against ISIS, “we are contributing directly to our own security”. I was wondering what was he smoking when he came to this conclusion. It absolutely baffled me as this is an idiotic act of the highest order that is obvious to anyone with even an IQ of a monkey. I was fuming how on earth we have such intellectually challenged leaders leading us.

It is not easy to admit mistakes: just ask PAP, a government in power for over 50 years who has never made a single mistake according to Straits Times. However, I must confess I was wrong to label the PAP leadership as intellectually disabled and challenged people. No! They are....http://www.tremeritus.com/2014/11/14/paps-brilliance-in-the-art-of-war/
