Any sane person would do the same. As the islam of today is not the islam that went viral 1400 years ago. There were no preachers, or clerics in the original islam. No sermons in mosques as there were no mosques.Its entirely between you and god.
Islam and moslems were the conquistadors of the 7th to 10th century AD. They conquered a lot of land, killed the priests of the locals, devastated their temples / churches / shrines, and gave the locals the option of conversion to islam or death / rape/ slavery. ISIS merely tried to follow in the footsteps of the early moslems.
Moslem leaders also set up madrassahs, which brainwashed little natives and taught them fake history, especially that islam was always native to the land and that islam never did kill or enslave natives. Many Arabs and moslems today believe islam is the bumiputera religion everywhere, and view natives like the orang asli, copts and native hindus, zorastrians as foreigners living in an islamic land.
