RP students crowd dangerously in middle of crossing: Time to widen it?

It is dangerous to have so many of them crowding in the middle of the crossing, said the STOMPer.
The STOMPer said:
"When I was sending my son to Republic Polytechnic, I saw students while waiting for traffic light to go green before they can cross the road to school.
"It's peak hour in the morning, and it seems that the waiting area is too narrow and small to accommodate everyone, so some had to be stand on the road.
"It's rather dangerous when the traffic on the road is heavy.
"The authorities should look into expanding or improving this crossing to prevent unfortunate things from happening!"
