Artist creates the world's most outrageous bras and corsets made from shells and deer antlers
Bra artist Laura Ann Jacobs reckons our society is so 'breast-obsessed' she created these incredible intricate sculptures
of the fanciest looking brassieres ever
This piece is calledA Conch-scious She Shell II
The stunning 'Wallflowers' range features corsets, knickers and bras...made with real deer antlers!
Also making them stand out firmly are materials like antique glass and mother of pearl. This piece is titled A Conch-scious She Shell
Laura, from San Francisco, USA, has made over 100 pieces and sells them to art buyers around the world. She came up with the idea after musing
on the boob-job obsessed women of California and Florida. This is one is called Bras That Pinch
She said: "Women have it good these days with so many ways to make themselves look better, but our desire to be desired is also a slippery slope"
"It used to be corsets, hoop skirts and foot binding, then makeup and hair dying. Now it's fat sucking, silicone injecting, and skin lifting"
Some of the pieces take a gruelling nine months to make as Laura works mosaics and porcelain cakes and pastries into the headless busts
Talented Laura first began making wearable bras produced from silicone to encourage women to wear the material on the outside of their breasts
instead of stuffing it inside to make them bigger
Now the Wallflowers sculptures, seen in these pictures and which are not wearable, are being scooped up as decorations for homes and offices
