The Straits Times Online recently conducted an online poll to determine which MP the netizens found most effective on social media. Altogether, some 811 netizens took part in the poll.
The poll started on Monday (9th Jan) and ended at 12pm on Friday (13th Jan). Votes were counted by unique IP addresses, meaning only one vote per IP address was allowed.
Here’s the result for the top 10:
1. Chen Show Mao (WP, Aljunied GRC MP) – 319 votes, 39%
2. Khaw Boon Wan (PAP, National Development Minister) – 55 votes, 7%
3. Baey Yam Keng (PAP, Tampines GRC MP) – 52 votes, 6%
4. BG Tan Chuan-Jin (PAP, Minister of State for National Development and Manpower) – 50 votes, 6%
5. Grace Fu (PAP, Senior Minister of State for MICA and Environment and Water Resources) – 49 votes, 6%
6. Ellen Lee (PAP, Sembawang GRC MP) – 29 votes, 4%
7. Tin Pei Ling (PAP, Marine Parade GRC MP) – 25 votes, 3%
