The high-powered National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Ministry of Education announced on Friday that $150 million over 10 years will be spent to set up a research centre of excellence in mechanobiology.
It is the fourth research centre of excellence set up by the NRF and will be located at the National University of Singapore.
The NRF also announced that Singapore and Israeli universities have recently signed a long-term agreement to work together on research collaborations. The first two projects under this partnership revolve around the repair of heart tissue and the growth and development of tisssues and organs.
