SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam hosted a tea reception at the Istana on Wednesday afternoon for more than 40 young people, as part of Youth Day celebrations.
The youth came from different fields of interests, including community service, sports, the arts, science and nature.
Posting on his Facebook page after the reception, Dr Tan said:"I enjoyed learning about their interests and aspirations in the diverse fields, and was energised by the enthusiasm of these youths. I am confident that with such drive and passion, our youths can continue to build on our achievements and create a better Singapore for the years to come."
