More and more Olympic medalists now have in the past served a ban for doping. On the first day, the gold medlaist for road cycling had served a ban. Now the Turkish runner with another gold . In between we have the silver and bronze medalist such Justin Gatlin with a similar past.

At this rate we will end with Olympic champions with history taking the shine away from such a wonderful event.

Will we see ban periods extended or will it become a part of life.

The female hammer thrower who won gold has just served a 2 year ban for doping and she won gold in London.
Yohan Blake had served ban. Michael Phelps had taken marijuana, or whatever they found in his system but the quantity
is too small to register. Carl Lewis had been caught for doping but again the quantity is too small to be properly registered.
So, it is plausible that Usian Bolt also is on dope, but taken in small quantities off the field over long stretches and Jamaican
anti-doping regulations are very lacking off-competition. So, there you've it.

Most of them dope. Only in diff degrees. Period.

Some of these doping rules are absolutely ridiculous in the first place.

Take Vinokourov's case for example the guy crashed in the first few days of the tour and lost heaps of blood. You could see the it seeping from the bandages. To disallow a blood transfusion to an athlete that needs it far more than the average joe with similar injuries is just lunacy.

The British cyclist deliberately crashed his bike to get a good start and he admitted it. Yet, he's not DQed.
Loads of double standards in London Olympics.

Also, plenty of screw ups in London Olympics.

- The electronic buzzer failed to work in one of the rowing events
- The electronic measurement equipment failed in one of the female hammer thrower's throw
- The pole vault event delayed for 15 mins due to a lever malfunction on the pole mechanism
- Empty seats
- Fencing technical bloopper costing Korean to lose medal
- Scoring anomaly costing king of rings to lose his gold medal
- Buzzer delay that nearly cost Sun Yang to be guilty of a false start

Agree. The cycling team should have been disqualified. The korean fencing episode is a disgrace. 15 year old girl manning the timer.
