TAIPEI, Taiwan - A video showing a Taichung City elementary school student hurling his lunchbox at a sexagenarian over a bus seat last Friday has gone viral online, forcing the student to come forward and apologize for his actions and disrespect toward elders.
A fellow bus passenger captured the nearly 10-minute-long altercation and uploaded it online.
The footage quickly became a hot topic in the online community, with an equal number of Netizens supporting and excoriating the different parties.
In the video, the man bellowed that the student had "no manners," while the kid retaliated by calling him "the rude one."
The incident occurred around 6pm last Friday on the number 79 bus.
The elementary school boy took a double seat aboard the bus and placed his lunch box on the seat next to him. A man in his sixties later ambled onto the vehicle and seeing that the boy had taken up so much space, told him to move aside and make room.
