definitely going strong, giving a speech about education and our future in Tanjong Pagar

Of course at age 90, he looks frail and I am sad to see so many people making fun of an old man

How many people actually live to 90?

Many of our parents and grandparents are struggling with knee pain, arthritis, gout, etc in their 50 and 60s

I wish Mr Lee Kuan Yew well, may you live to 100 and beyond, Sir!

I fully support your post.
You are the rare one who understands Mr Lee.
Yes, I wish Mr Lee well ...and yes, may he live up to 100 and beyong,Sir!
Thank you.

Well said ..... Both of you

.. but too bad, I have to spread them around first before I can add to yours again
( so sad ) :o

Yes, I wish Dr Lee Kuan Yew many many more good happy and healthy years. Majulah Singapura!!!

Without him, the vicious and ungrateful PHUAcb GANG and the Intellectual Thuggery will not be here today...And these hooligans and ingrates will not even be born at all....let alone have the audacity to post garbages, profanities and vulgarities....

I’m very determined. If I decide what something is worth doing, then I’ll put my heart and soul to it. The whole ground can be against me, but if I know it is right, I’ll do it. That’s the business of a leader.” -From Lee Kuan Yew: The Man and His Ideas, 1998

I am often accused of interfering in the private lives of citizens. Yes, if I did not, had I not done that, we wouldn’t be here today. And I say without the slightest remorse, that we wouldn’t be here, we would not have made economic progress, if we had not intervened on very personal matters – who your neighbour is, how you live, the noise you make, how you spit, or what language you use. We decide what is right. Never mind what the people think.”

•‘I make no apologies for collecting the most talented team I could find. Without them, none of you would be enjoying life today in Singapore, including the reporters up there. I say this without any compunction. Who pays for all this? A Singapore economy which has been so finely tuned that it is able to take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way.

was it neccessary for you to log into this old moniker just to start this thread?

•‘In office, I read and analysed every speech of Harry’s. He had a way of penetrating the fog of propoganda and expressing with unique clarity the issues of our times and the way to tackle them. He was never wrong. ~~(Margaret Thatcher, former British Prime Minister, 1998)

We should remember Lee Kuan Yew, as he is, & not what he should not be. He has done enough for all of us, for better or fo rworse. But to parade a sad old fellow in public, whose body & soul is fading away, though the mind still live on...is sad. That is not the way, I want to remember him by, but there things I would not love him. In all, I do appreciate what he has done but he has done enough..should let go & go!

The question of everyone's mind, would be, what would Singapore be, after he had gone? Yes!, we would still feel the legacy he had left behind, there would changes in ways, we would expect & will those changes be good for us? Will the team he had assembled in his lifetime, including his offspring, lead us all into the drain?? That is question we have to weigh & ponder..not just bashing PAP, for the sake of bashing them or the oppositions.

Wow I love your post.Thank you Sir!!! This is the type of discussion that I am looking forward to. A sense of proportion. A sense of magnanimosity. A sense of fairness and decorum. Thank you Sir !
