SINGAPORE: The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has filed a police report on fake websites phishing for visitors' visa numbers and passport numbers.
ICA said in a news release on Wednesday (Dec 16) that the dodgy websites are www.sg-immigov.com and www-icaevisa.com. There is also another unauthorised website that claims to help visitors track visas for Singapore singaporevisagov.com/tracking-visa/.
The ICA is advising members of the public to exercise caution so they do not “unwittingly fall prey to such fake websites”. Members of the public are also advised to use only the official ICA website at www.ica.gov.sg for all needs concerning ICA matters, including transactions.
“We would like to assure everyone that access to the official ICA website remains unaffected and no data has been compromised,” said ICA.
The alert comes a day after the CPF Board warned members against a fake duplicate of its website.
