old fart and his merry band decided some decades back that our population could need some 5 to 6 million folks in order to be self sustaining.

it's truly an epiphany and i paid a visit to serina wee's blogshop. her market is as large as the number of buyers visiting her blogshop!

with online delivery services in the backdrop, do we really need a 5-6 million folks to keep our economy in a self sustaining loop?

with manufacturing taken out of Singapore and having bio-medical sector as a new pillar, do we really need 6.9 million folks?

bearing in mind that over crowding presents problems of its own, why are we still pushing for 6.9 million folks?

a self sustaining loop is possible when we have our local produce for local consumption, how is it possible to have a closed loop when we do not have any natural produce?
