Additional Measure to Control Access to 4 Popular Markets
From 22 Apr 2020, access to 4 popular markets will be restricted based on the last digit of patrons’ NRIC or FIN numbers, to ensure effective #SafeDistancing and safeguard public health. Patrons with NRIC/FIN numbers ending with:

- an even last digit (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) can only visit on the even dates of the month
- an odd last digit (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) can only visit on the odd dates of the month

These 4 markets are: Geylang Serai Market, Block 104/105 Yishun Ring Road (Chong Pang Market), Block 20/21 Marsiling Lane Market, and Block 505 Jurong West Street 52 Market.

Patrons who are unable to produce appropriate forms of identification at the entry points of these 4 markets will be denied entry. For patrons who require assistance with their grocery shopping, such as the elderly and persons with disabilities, one other accompanying household member or foreign domestic worker (FDW) is permitted to assist them, as long as one of their identification numbers meets the odd or even date entry restriction.
Markets with Access Control Measures
By 10 April 2020, access control measures will be put in place at relatively popular markets which tend to draw crowds. Patrons should expect to queue if they are visiting these markets. They should maintain a 1 metre separation when queuing to enter the markets.

Peak Hours and Queue Situation at 39 Popular Markets

Patrons visiting markets managed by NEA or NEA-appointed operators are reminded to make adjustments and patronise markets on weekdays, or during the non-peak hours.
