IN WHAT is believed to be the first case of its kind, a 21-year-old woman, has been charged with committing an obscene act on a 13-year-old girl on two occasions.
The alleged victim is a minor under the Children and Young Persons Act.
According to court documents, the first obscene act by the woman is said to have occurred at a flat in Serangoon North in November 2008. She allegedly committed the second offence in February last year at a Sentosa hotel.
The woman and her lawyer will next appear on Sept 13 to discuss arrangements for the trial.
If convicted, she could be fined up to $5,000 and/or jailed up to two years.
