SINGAPORE - Talk show host and former Nominated MP Viswa Sadasivan has stepped down as a member of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Alumni Advisory Board.

This following allegations of sexual harassment made against him by two women.

In an e-mail to its alumni on Saturday (Feb 20) evening, the university's Office of Alumni Relations said it would also discontinue all projects with him and his consultancy firm, Strategic Moves.

The NUS statement said this was in light of the allegations made by stand-up comedian Ms Sharul Channa and Ms Kiran Kandade, against Mr Viswa.

It read: "The University does not condone any behaviour or action that is disrespectful and disparaging of individuals, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion or age."

NUS said the incident between Mr Viswa and Ms Sharul took place during the online interview series, Inconvenient Questions.

Sexual harassment only mah. We had elected MPs committing adultery. :whistling:

I heard of one former Minister, whose wife met with LHL, to discuss the former Minister's ECA with his female subordinate. Yet this same former Minister apparently cried over the casino matter or debate, and has a patronage appointment.
It appears that there is double standards, and two sets of law and rules.

Got meh? Oh yes.......that palmer fella
Not only Palmer, but a former senior cabinet Minister, and Francis Seow mentioned the former Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Yeo Ghim Seng, who apparently fathered a child with a lady, who is not his spouse, while he was still married. It also appears that LKY was unaware until Francis Seow mentioned this matter during LAY'S questioning of Francis Seow, during the Parliamentary inquiry into the Law Society.
I recall that transcripts indicated that LKY alleged that he saw Francis Seow walking hand in hand with a lady who was not his wife, across High Street.
In response, Francis Seow raised the YGS matter, and LKY was surprised.
Not long after that, YGS stepped down as the Speaker.
