[h=1]NUS RANKED AMONG WORLD'S TOP 10 UNIVERSITIES FOR 11 SUBJECTS[/h]

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has been named among the world’s 10 best universities for 11 subjects across disciplines in Architecture/Built Environment, Engineering, Science, and the Social Sciences, in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject.
NUS also makes the top 50 worldwide for a total of 30 subjects, where it was ranked in 31 out of the 36 subjects relevant to the University.
NUS is also the most high-performing institution outside of the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK).
The University is also Asia’s best across 21 subjects, up from 18 subjects last year.
The most top-10 spots internationally are claimed by the UK’s University of Cambridge, which ranks within the top 10 in 31 disciplines. Next are the University of Oxford (29) and Stanford University (29), followed by Harvard (28), the University of California, Berkeley (26) and MIT (19).
London School of Economics and Politics had 11 while Princeton and UCLA have 10 each, with Yale having 9 and the Imperial College London having 8.
The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) had 3 placements in the top 10 best universities.
The Singapore universities performed the best in the subject of Engineering - Electrical & Electronic. NUS and NTU ranked 6th and 7th respectively, with NTU tied joint 7th with Cambridge.
Four NUS Engineering specialisations were among the world’s top 10, with the highest spots for Civil & Structural Engineering (third) and Chemical Engineering (fifth).
Among the subjects that NUS was ranked, it fared worst for Physics & Astronomy and Medicine, coming in at 23rd and 21st respectively.
