I myself am student currently studying in a IT discipline in NTU. Last month I noticed a American Healthcare Company, Epic, came over to our school to hold a campus interview. They claimed that they intend to hire 350 graduates to fulfill IT positions in their company. They are open to sponsoring U.S. work visas for our graduates to work out of the United States. When one of my Singaporean friend went for the interview, he told me that 90% of the interviewees there were foreign students from our course. He even spotted a Vietnamese DEAN List student from NTU's SCE.
The issue now is not foreign students competing with our local students with jobs, but rather, those foreign students are on MOE,CNYang,NTU scholarships etc. If they are not, they are also on tuition grant. In any of these cases, they are required to work at least 2-3 years in Singapore before they can work elsewhere. The lack of enforcements over such bonds will cost us around $80,000 - $100,000 dollars per foreign student. Does anyone has contacts in MOE that can contact this American Company to stop hiring students on our local scholarships?

Break bond, break bond! I support it! And please be public about and spit in the face of Singaporeans and thank PAP!

Yes thanks to the 60% who voted for them.
The people deserve the govt they elect.
