Taxi driver charged me an $15 extra stop fare that I never requested​

Just wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this before.

I booked a ComfortDelGro taxi through the CDG Zig app for a trip from Compassvale Lane to Edgefield Plains. The actual fare for the trip was only $7.40 ($3 off for trust card), but when I checked the receipt later, I noticed there was an additional $15 “extra stop fare” added to the bill, bringing the total to $22.40.

The issue is that:
- I did not request any additional stop.
- The driver drove directly from pickup to destination.
- I was not informed of any extra charges during the trip.

If I hadn’t checked the receipt, I would never have noticed the overcharge.

I’ve already submitted a complaint and refund request to the platform. Just wondering:
- Has this happened to anyone else before?
- Is there any legitimate reason why an extra stop fare could be added without an actual stop being made?

A reminder to everyone to always check your receipts after a ride, even for short trips.

Compassvale Lane to Edgefield Plains is only 2.9kim (Google Map) and it cost $7.40.
