A luxury jet believed to be owned by fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho - also known as Jho Low - is parked at Seletar Airport, the Singapore authorities have confirmed for the first time.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, a police spokesman said: "An aircraft that is the subject of ongoing 1MDB-related investigations is parked at Seletar Airport.
"Singapore has not received any formal request from the Malaysian authorities seeking the return of the aircraft."
He added that any such request, along with others for the return of seized 1MDB-related assets, will be dealt with in accordance with Singapore's legal framework.
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on Sunday told reporters that his government was looking to bring home the private jet, which is believed to be among the assets acquired from about US$1 billion (S$1.37 billion) allegedly misappropriated from the state investment firm 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft was reported to have been impounded by the Singapore authorities last year and grounded. It is believed that the jet, which Mr Low bought in 2010 for just over US$35 million, is housed in a hangar belonging to aviation firm Jet Aviation, which also does aircraft maintenance and repair works.

Last week, Malaysia seized a US$250 million superyacht, the Equanimity, with cooperation from the Indonesian authorities. Mr Low had also allegedly bought the vessel with funds stolen from 1MDB. Malaysian Attorney-General Tommy Thomas was quoted as saying yesterday that the vessel would be sold by the end of this year.
The Malaysian authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Mr Low.

selestar airport personnel knew that but were told to keep it hush hush.....until picha lobang by other non-sinkie sources. there are many more private aircraft belonging to mudlaysian and indon "fugitives" hidden at seletar that pubic is not readily aware of. a fleet of them (this one belonging to non-fugitive) flies in and out to various indon cities to pick up and drop off wealthy indon clients for medical tourism in sg. sinkies cuntnot compete for these private treatments as prices are out of rich, oops reach, for low ses coolies and peasants.
