As explained to you, Deu 13 does not apply anymore in both Judiasm and Christianity. Looks like you are barking up the wrong tree or fighting a windmill.

Death and persecution of apostates does however continues in Islam, even for Muslims in Singapore. I have met so many Malay Christians and they all get thrown out of their homes for converting to Christianity.

Why do you Muslims persecute apostates if there is indeed no compulsion in religion?

The difference is the Roman Catholic Church. Christiandom was then ruled and interpreted according to the Roman Catholic Church. Black is white, and white is black.

Until the Christian world - Martin Luther and the Protestants - started to stand up to the Roman Catholic Church, truth is no more the sole property of the Catholics.

that is what i dislike about modern day Christianity, cherry-picking verses that benefits them but make up excuses on those that are not favorable to them.

if you want to believe in supernatural stuff, then do it ALL THE WAY!! either yes or no, hot or cold, no fence sitter!
