No. 1 employment gripe: Bosses prefer foreigners

Apr 19, 2012
By Toh Yong Chuan
<!--start of story text-->Complaints that employers prefer foreigners over locals have for the first time topped the list of grievances that Singaporeans have over unfair employment practices.
The Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (Tafep) - a fair employment watchdog - also received more than double the number of complaints in total last year compared to a year ago.
'Concerns over fair opportunities for Singaporeans emerged as the top issue in 2011 for the first time,' Tafep said in its annual report released on Wednesday.
The top three types of complaints - numbering 277 in total - were over nationality, language and race, and age.
Does serving ns reservist hinder your work performance? It gives your boss headaches as he will need to cover your job...

The statement should be "Bosses prefer cheap labour" Bosses prefer no minimum wage. If given a choice and if allowed by law some bosses would have no qualms about not paying workers.

Last tum I very very early said before leow, the 60.1% still don't get it or lazy to use brain. With the way things are going, the job opportunities which has overseas exposure for their children will greatly diminish or zero.

Imagine, pinoy, cambodian, viet, indo, prc become new shitizens/PRs. They know their native language, has native contacts overseas, they are singaporeans/PRs, singapore educated, etc. How can a true blue born sinkie compete for positions with the aforementioned group, for jobs in companies/GLCs expanding overseas to these developing nations:confused:

And to make it more jialut, they are also here in sinkieland + FTs to compete for local jobs and depress pay.

Best is do civil service jobs lah..............all local born sinkies in civil service:D Yah, dream on:o

Want to go overseas work, can't compete, work in sinkieland, low pay, high cost...........eat and drink shit water lor:(

Kick spurs in sinkie hides? More like thrust afew sharp knifes into the hide and let out blood slowly.:p

lianbeng noted currency exchange rate S$1 = RM2.44 liao.:Dthey said S$100 can exchange indonesian rupiah many times leh.
