NLB 'Sure or Not' Quiz/contest SURELY easy to kelong, mechanics= NOT properly worked out:
New%20SURE%20NLB%20Website.jpg

The quiz is at https://www.nlb.gov.sg/sureornot/contest/surequiz

They say (rules)@ https://www.facebook.com/notes/sure-singapore/sure-or-not-quiz/843038405760856 :
How to Enter
In order to enter the Contest, the participant must answer ten (10) questions by clicking on either ‘SURE’ or ‘Not’ in the quiz available at https://www.nlb.gov.sg/sureornot/contest/.
There is no restriction on the number of entries by the participants.
...
Determination of Winner
The winner of the Contest will be determined by the highest score after each contest cycle, lasting two (2) weeks. In the event of a tie, the earliest high score submitted based on the time-stamp will be deemed the winner by the NLB.
...
My view:
NLB is just so desperate for participants that "There is no restriction on the number of entries by the participants": is the NLB KPI based upon number of entries, if so they might as well ask a computer bot to register and participate so that maybe 6+billion (current world population) entries could be collected.

Also, NLB should simply reward participation since 'highest score' doesn't imply that the contestant is more 'knowledgeable': just maybe more desperate to win prize (by redoing the quiz again) etc.

Conclusion:
1) NLB should permit only ONE entry per person (only last entry should be valid) and only accept entries from Singaporean/PR contestants (since the cost of prizes ostensibly accrues from taxpayers $$$ or goodwill to PAP gahmen etc).
2) Scores of 5/10 and above should be accepted and have equal chance of winning vouchers if participation (and not cheating with the use of computer bots) is the real objective of NLB's 'Sure or Not' quiz/ campaign. (Contest awarding highest scores (10/10) only serves to reward lawyers (who read fine print) and people with good memory (repeat quiz and fill in all the correct answers remembered by heart)).

Re: NLB 'Sure or Not' Quiz/contest SURELY easy to kelong, mechanics= NOT properly wor

NLB libraries don't have stock of many good books.

But they do have stock of crap such as this:
