Nexus 7

The thing about tablets is that you shouldn't have to be tech savvy to own & use one.

The following WSJ video gives one more reason why the iPad will continue to dominate.

http://live.wsj.com/video/.......B

Sorry the videos at WSJ is screwed up. It keeps pointing to an older video.

The video that I am trying to point to is titled "Farhad Manjoo: iPad vs. Android: It's No Contest"

The premise is that the iPad will continue to dominate because like what happened to the iPod market. As long as IOS holds 64% of the market, it makes it cheaper for developers. Don't forget that the iPhone & iPad shares the IOS platform

Why can't you simply insert the youtube version :

64% using ios7 among APPLE devices.

It seems like your argument is off the topic. I am talking about global uses of apple products vs andriod products.. i guess you can't win on the facts but use such ways to try to win the arguement and saving face for your beloved Apple. wahahhaha

Moreover, that is based on that person's personal opinion and think that apple market share will dominate.. he just can't wait for the facts to come out and comment about it.

The 64% refers to the tablet market not smartphones you twit.

ok then...

Apple’s once-dominant tablet market share has collapsed

Top Tablet Operating Systems, Shipments, and Market Share, Second Quarter 2013 (Shipments in Millions)

based on the chart: andriod is actually hoolding 62% of tablet market share.. he needs to wear his old man glasses to see carefully.

The 64% refers to the number of apple users who are using iOS7.

Apple has never targeted market share. It's targets are always around profit margins.

Eventually apple will lose out to android which has take advantage of the economic of scale of producing higher quality products at a very affordable price.

Android is an operating system not the hardware.

Apple will always be more reliable than its cheap competition.

Google will make products based on the system of andriod, and they are the ones who will make improvements on Andriod.

i am not so sure about Apple being reliable. The users might feel that it is reliable, that is how Apple hypothesised its users. I am glad i am not part of this trap.

once you know the product is very google, people will get it. Nexus is actually the most google of all the other products.

Apple has always tried to make their products idiot proof. I have supported both Macs & PCs and I can tell you that there are more headaches with the PCs.

When I 1st got my new Macbook I wasn't familiar with Mountain Lion & I had to call the Apple helpline for help to reset the password :D Since then I've never had any problems. I have done a few updates to the OS. An easy thing to do, all you need is an internet connection & just connect to the app store. The system will check for updates & let you know if there are any.

When I bought a blue tooth headset, it was a no brainer to use it on a Mac. However I can't say the same thing when I tried to use it on a Win 7 machine:(
I finally got it running but I had to hunt for the drivers & to do some trial & error. It's doable but a pain. Many newbies to IT would probably be frustrated. You auntie, uncle, senior citizens,...

I thought we are talking about tablet. Why bring in mac book to the picture.

I don't currently own an iPad but I have quite alot of experience with the quality of Apple products. I've been watching the iPad & the android counterparts for quite some times. I was even considered getting one of the earlier Kindle units. I changed my mind after hearing of problems with the cheaper brands.

So I am not totally ignorant of the issues with android. Apple products might be more expensive but it's really not that much more expensive than the competition.
