I recall these 2, even thought they are both several years back. Can you recall any other news which they started to report and then stopped, hence no follow up or conclusion.

Several years ago, the newspapers reported that a man was stabbed in Desaru.
He was with a prc woman at that time.
It was reported then that he was the husband of a senior civil servant.
That was the last time this incident was ever reported in the press.
Not a single piece of news thereafter on why the man was stabbed, who the perpetuators were, whether they were caught, or even how the man was recovering.
They stopped probably because a senior civil servant's husband was the victim.

More recently, a few years ago, the newspapers reported that a singaporean woman had been arrested in Thailand, for alledgedly hiring someone to kill a caucasian man in Thailand, apparently over a money dispute.
It was reported that she had paid the hired killer S$200,000.
Not sure how the press got this, but that was the reported figure if I remember correctly.
Again, this was a "one-off" report, and we never got to read any follow up or conclusion to the case.
It could be that this time they stopped because the woman was a singaporean who had hired a killer. Not wise to give people any ideas.
