Choa Chu Kang residents complain about students from nearby ITE

Just three months after the opening of ITE College West in July, residents have already made several complaints against the school over its students' behaviour.
To date, the Choa Chu Kang Residents' Committee (RC) has received five official complaints pertaining to littering, loitering, noise pollution and smoking.
The college has a total enrolment of 7,200 full-time students, more than an average school's 1,000 students.
ITE College West's principal, Dr Yek Tiew Ming, said that the school recognises that there are a handful of students who may not be conscious of their own actions and hence need advice and help.
"We take a serious view on students who smoke and litter at surrounding void decks and will take appropriate disciplinary action against those who do so."
