___________As a PAP MP, I am glad that ___________I have many friends[/SIZE] and also ___________on the other side[/SIZE] many who r not so friendly.[/SIZE] It is sad when thing...s are quoted out of context and when they do not report the whole thing.

Minister's pay issue is a sensitive one. There must be a balance. Afterall capable individuals who r willing to come forward to serve should not so because of pay and perks. On the other hand, they do have families and dependents and need to consider for retirement etc. The basic principle is to pay the appropriate amount for the responsibilities and the tasks needed. The responsibilities of the corporate CEOs are towards the staff and the shareholders. While that of the Ministers is to all of us.
