STOMPer tweetams is concerned about the condition of a drain near a bus stop at Jurong Town Hall. He thinks the poorly maintained drain could be breeding mosquitoes.

Said the STOMPer:

"I was at a bus stop at the Jurong Town Hall when I saw water clogging this drainage.

"It might be breeding aedes mosquito and the people waiting for their bus can catch dengue.

"I think there's already mosquito eggs there."

The sight of these mosquitoes swarming a common walkway at Clementi Ave 5 is enough to turn stomachs. STOMPer Nick tells us that certain blocks at Clementi Ave 5 have become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Nick says:

“The following photo was taken at the common walk way at Clementi Blk 32X.

“I was issued a fine for breeding mosquitoes.

“However, I realized there are other areas in the vicinity where mosquito breeding is taking place.

“I think the NEA needs to do something about this breeding problem in the other areas, rather than going around issuing fines to the residents.”
“I suspect the mosquito larvae are at the roof top of the HDB block.

“Thousands of mosquitoes can be spotted at the roof of the walkway between the 16<SUP>th</SUP> to 19<SUP>th</SUP> floors of block 327, Clementi Ave 5 in the evenings/at night.”
