I just remembered that I had bidded for NDP tickets. Not that I care much for the propaganda event myself, but the tickets can be easily auctioned off for fast cash.
I didn't get the tickets, but was recently SMS'ed by the NDP committee to sign up for e-coupons, as a gesture for their 'appreciation to all NDP ticket applicants'.

Goodees.sg is a new marketing initiative by iT-DnS Pte Ltd, with the objective of consolidating all the best offers and discounts by esteemed merchants in Singapore into one common ground. All these offers will be exclusive to our group of Goodees.sg Celebration card recipients, which the card can be found in the Funpack of the National Day Parade 2012.
Based on a survey, a good number of merchants in Singapore run their own marketing activities on a routine basis, in a bid to raise awareness and attract traffic to their outlets. However, due to increasing costs and tighter budgets in recent years, merchants feel the strain to maintain or increase the intended reach and exposure.
Seeing the need to help merchants bring these great offers to our beloved Singapore family (and our foreign friends residing here!!) via a common medium, we came up with the Goodees.sg equation. Merchants will be able to connect with consumers, showcasing their best offers and be able to increase footfalls back to their businesses. Consumers will also have a site to fall back on to see what offers are currently in the market now, as some of these great promotions are not readily available on the daily papers or TV commercials you see.
As consumption patterns of media have changed drastically over the years, newspaper ads or TV commercials have less impact and a lower hit rate on the masses. Paradigm shift we call it, people are progressively moving online to spend their free time or view content over their mobile devices. With this in mind, this portal and our app are aimed at pushing these great offers to the masses effectively and happily.
