Controversial singer-songwriter Namewee has pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate's Court this morning to alleged possession of 0.78g of Sildenafil, an erectile dysfunction medication.
According to the charge sheet, the singer, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, was accused of possessing the drug at a hotel in Jalan Conlay, within the Dang Wangi area, around 4.30pm on Oct 22, 2025.
He was charged under Section 9(1) of the Poisons Act 1952 and is punishable under Section 32(2) of the same Act, which carries a maximum fine of RM50,000 or a maximum term of five years' imprisonment, or both.
