Hong Kong - British television chef Jamie Oliver shot to fame fully clothed with his “Naked Chef” series. Now a Chinese model who strips as she cooks is to appear on Hong Kong television, a news report said on Tuesday.
In the series to be launched on an adult pay TV channel this month, Flora Cheung plans to strip to nothing but a transparent apron as she prepares a different dish in each 30-minute show.
The 26-year-old is to go shopping for ingredients fully clothed, then strip as she steps into the kitchen until she wears nothing but the see-through apron, the South China Morning Post reported.
“Most men don't like to cook, but I want to get them interested,” Cheung told the newspaper, adding that her apron “covers pretty much everything but hides nothing”.
The twice-monthly Cantonese-language show is the brainchild of programme-maker Jessie Au, who brought naked news reading to Hong Kong television screens in 2004.
“The guys really liked naked news, so I thought maybe they will go for nude cooking,” Au was quoted as saying. - Sapa-dpa
