"My mother joined the PAP many years ago because she believed in the PAP. It was a Party who cared for the masses. It was a Party which fought for a Singaporean Singapore...
My mom has since passed away......
Meanwhile, the PAP lost its ideals and direction.....
Sometimes I ask myself......Would my mom choose to remain a Party member in the Other World?
Even if I could send my mom's old PAP membership card to her in the Other World, I doubt she would be interested anymore........ as such, I have decided to chuck the membership card into the rubbish bin, lest by burning it, it would find its way back to my mom .....
The PAP needs a reform movement to bring the Party back to its roots. What they have now are YPAP syncophants whose dedication to the welfare of the people are suspect......... They need people like my mom...... my mom would have kicked the backsides of those who now shamelessly call themselves Leaders of the people, but ignore the Will of the People.

(The writer was a staunch PAP man till he saw through the self serving policies of what he called the "new-PAP". He has come in from the Cold. But he still hopes the PAP would see a return to their left-leaning people caring roots.)
