milpitas was refuge to viet families after the fall of saigon. know of many who are connected to the former regime of south vietnam. their new hangout is at little saigon in san jose - all kinds of authentic viet cuisine there. milpitas downtown by main street is ugly like shit, was a blue collar railway station ghetto several decades ago. thus the outlet retail is hubbed at the great mall, former ford factory. with a new bart station cumming up and ready for service in 2019, thousands of new homes are being built and gentrification is turning milpitas into a more white collar community. great mall used to be swarmed with hispanics, nehs, pinoys and viet gooks. not anymore. whites are showing up in numbers. the coach outlet store there sells more handbags in a month than any coach store west of the mississippi. due to coach's success at the great mall, michael kors, anne klein, and now kate spade have moved in.
panda sexpress cater to americans more than chinks. price is reasonable and service fast as it's commonly known as chinese fast food. the only two items on the menu that i normally order and when i'm in a rush and need the food to go are eggplant tofu and string beans without the chicken (it cums with chicken but i ask server to scoop just the string beans. everything catered to americans is a little sweeter with sextra sugar. somewhere near calaveras blvd and main street is a southwest ah neh restaurant that serves meat on their buffet menu. malabar is the region they come from. or state of kerala. it's called red chillies i think.
