movie 破局 - where did they get the plot from?

Any bros watch already, it's quite an entertaining movie. I find it funny that the story line resembles the case of...... ( for bros to make a guess)

The similarities:

1) storyline based on , and filmed in Malaysia
2) Corruption In civil service theme
3) Police officer ( played by aaron kwok) put explosive in the corpses and blow it up!!!!!!!!
4) In the end, the civil service know he was the culprit but they cover up for him
5) The officer got away scott free but also with lots of money...


Wonder whether the script writer got the ideas from the news??
