A mother of two has reportedly abandoned her children to travel to Syria and live under the rule of ISIS.

Jasmina Milovanov is believed to have gone to Syria after leaving her two children with a friend.

The 26-year-old said she was going to pick up a new car and never came back, according to News Corp Australia.

A former friend of Milovanov believes the infamous jihadi bride recruiter Zehra Duman may have convinced her to move to Syria.

Milovanov, who is also known as Assma Abdullah, reportedly posted positive comments on one of Duman's posts when she discussed her life in Syria.

It appears that Milovanov has travelled to Syria, as she reportedly texted her ex-husband, saying she was in the country, earlier this month.

Her former husband was 'absolutely shocked' by the text, according to News Corp Australia.

Earlier this month, Milovanov texted her ex-husband to say she had left Australia for Syria

'The only thing I can think about is my children, I can't believe she left these two beautiful children. My son was saying in the days afterwards that he hoped 'my mum is OK',' he reportedly said.

'Before she (went) I talked to her (about her extreme Facebook posts). I said this is extreme, stupid. I was warning her about who she hung out with.

The mother of two reportedly converted to Islam in her late teens, just before meeting her husband. However, the relationship was believed to have fractured due to him not being devout enough for her, and she repeatedly told him to grow a beard.

Duman, the former Melbourne woman turned recruiter, gained international infamy after her husband, Mahmoud Abdullatif, was killed earlier this year.

The widow congratulated her late partner for his death after he was reportedly killed.

'You won the race!' she tweeted, describing him as a 'green bird' - the term used to describe a so-called martyr.

Duman flaunted her 'five star' jihadi lifestyle in a number of photographs posted to a Twitter account believed to be hers, including pictures of several women standing under an Islamic State flag, reclining against a clean white BMW M5, wielding machine guns and dressed from head to toe in black Islamic dress.

Another image of five women standing under an Islamic State flag is captioned: 'Can't mess with my clique. From the land down under, to the land of Khilafah. That's the Aussie spirit.'
