More than $61,000 worth of drugs seized by CNB

SINGAPORE - More than $61,000 worth of drugs have been seized by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in an operation that took place on Tuesday (Oct 27).
According to a statement by the CNB, about 1kg of cannabis, 95 LSD stamps and 130g of 'Ice' were found. Three male suspects were arrested in the operation.
On Tuesday, a 20-year-old Singaporean male suspected of drug trafficking was arrested in Eng Hoon Street. The packet of 'Ice' and the LSD stamps, which is a hallucinogen made from blotting paper, were found on him.
Another 20-year-old suspected drug abuser was also arrested at that time.
After further investigations, the third suspect, a 35-year-old Malaysian man, was arrested at Woodlands. A search of his van recovered a plastic bag containing one block of cannabis weighing about 1kg and some cash, according to CNB.
Investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing. Those convicted of trafficking in more than 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty.
