In order to show that they are sorry, the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) called upon the government and showed their deep regret over the remark made by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. In their clarification they showed whether they supported the views of Lee or not.

The minister had come out with his remarks over the Muslim community recently. The statement by AMP said that they had little to do with the comments made by MM, who is otherwise a core member of the Cabinet and also represents a office in the government.

Lee had expresses his remarks in the book named, ‘Lee Kuan Yew: Hard truths to keep Singapore going’. It was launched on January 21. He had said that Muslims do not cause any trouble socially but are quite distinct and separate. When asked what they do for integration, he said that they do so by eating together.

Besides that, he also said that the Malays will never be able to bridge the gap between educational attainments with Indians and Chinese. This is so because the two countries want to improve.
