Men hit me with bottle for no reason

A man claimed that he was attacked by two men with liquor bottles in club Mink at Pan Pacific Hotel as he approached the VIP area.

Mr Leong Peng Jun, 27, who suffered injuries to his head and left hand, said the first man went up to him and swung the bottle at his face. But he managed to block it with his hand.

However, a second man came up to him from behind and smashed a bottle at his head. He said he became semi-conscious.

Then a group of five to six burly men, whom he believed were bouncers or club staff, surrounded him and punched him.

He was discharged from Singapore General Hospital on Monday.

When contacted, the club spokesman said the security staff had intervened to ensure the safety of other patrons in Mink.

She said the police have viewed the closed circuit television camera footage and the club is helping in the investigation.
