Church should be separate from state, which includes state-funded schools. If the kids have to listen to Bible verses, then they should also have to listen to Quranic verses, Torah verses and pro-gay speeches to be fair.

What was okay in 1965 may not be okay today. If the school allowed one Bible verse to be publicly shown in school, they need to allow one Quranic or Torah verse or Buddhist verse to be shown to be fair to all. Then the Scientologists or Mormons will start demanding their own verses too.
