This lucrative industry will not take off in Singapore
All pharmaceutical companies will put a stop to it at all costs

the effects of thc in marijuana is medically beneficial, and a company in colorado is mass producing the plant and extracting the medicinal qualities out of it, removing the "addictive" compounds and effects.

Actually is not the THC from the plant that is medically beneficial it's the CBD also known as cannabidiol . THC is the one that makes you high .

Most people have heard of a chemical called THC, which is the ingredient in marijuana that gets users high. But recently, attention has shifted to another compound in marijuana called CBD — and for good reason.

Because while doctors can’t seem to look past certain side effects of THC, CBD doesn’t seem to present that problem. On the other hand, evidence of CBD’s medical benefits continues to grow.

I believe that if medical cannabis is legal around the world soon Singapore will also be legal . Because it's make encomy sense to legalized that medical plant . And also it create jobs such as agriculture and hemp related products , food ....ect . It's already a muti billions business industry for those country that legalized it .

eventually, big pharmaceutical companies will have no choice but to embrace it. it's inevitable when science plays a huge role in demystifying. and when big pharm joins the bandwagon, so will the fda, then the feds, and follow-the-west clueless copycat cuntries such as sg. states, as opposed to the federal gov, are more open to medicinal marijuana than ever before, because they end up with hefty medical expenses when medical bills pile up and patients can't pay.

I read in one of medical cannabis controversial Reports that one of the reason the plant is illegal because big pharmaceutical worry that if that plant is made legal than their company will lose billions of dollars because cannabis plant are easy to grow and everyone will be growing it at home . Those big company doesn't want that to happen .

The funny thing is opiate , morphine , cocaine ..ect have already been used in pharmaceutical in Singapore . Today cocaine is used in medicine mainly as a topical anesthetic in eye, ear, nose, and throat surgery and fiber tube optical examinations of the upper respiratory and digestive tracts. It has a combination of properties that cannot be duplicated by any of the synthetic local anesthetics: intense constriction of blood vessels (important whenever bleeding must be prevented), long duration of anesthesia (one hour), and low toxicity. So why not legalized a harmless , less expensive and natural plant like cannabis ? Unlike those drugs I mention above which are chemically produced . Cannabis is natural and less damaging to the human body system .
